Welcome to the site of the Louisiana Junior Jersey Association.

We are a group of young people from the state of Louisiana who share a common interest in Jersey dairy cattle.

Some of our members come from working dairy farms. Others help a neighbor or relative on the farm. Still others become involved because they've developed friendships with other members.

Regardless of background, we all enjoy a camaraderie that comes from working together, take pride in our accomplishments and make friendships which frequently last a lifetime. Through participation, we develop life skills and responsibilities....and have fun doing it!


Friendship is what it is all about!

Each year, we sponsor a calf raffle to raise funds for the club. Many members show cattle at local, district, state and national Jersey shows.

Monday Grazed. Chewed cud. Followed everybody else. A pretty uneventful day.
Tuesday Found a salt lick...it was very tasty!
Wednesday Stood in the shade awhile.  Followed everybody back to the other side of the field.
Thursday Mooed a lot. Gossiped with Daisy and Bossy. Had a lot of fun.
Friday Swatted flies. Scratched myself on a fence. All this was very relaxing.
Saturday A car honked at me. I didn't look up. This frustrated the people in the car. I got a good chuckle out of it!
Sunday We all got together to pray and be thankful for this luscious, green grass.
